Wenger: Three Points Off Man U Is A Must

With accumulated losses against the Premier League's seemingly lesser sides (Fulham, Hull City, and more recently Stoke City), Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger has acknowledged that his side can ill afford any repeat upsets.

The Gunners' next league game is against Manchester United at the Emirates, but they will have to play without Emmanuel Adebayor and Theo Walcott, who are injured, and Robin Van Persie who faces suspension following his dismissal at the Britannia Stadium.

Wenger believes a home win is a mandatory requirement this weekend if Arsenal are to put their title bid back on track, as another loss would mean that they are truly out of it.

"I don’t know how many more defeats we can afford," Wenger told the Express. "We have to win when we play Manchester United on Saturday.

"There is no better game to come back from and show we have quality," the Frenchman declared.
