Wenger: Positive Results Can Dilute Recent Negatives

Arsenal host Fenerbahce in the Champions League on Wednesday before business resumes in the Premier League when Manchester United visit at the weekend.

Arsene Wenger believes it is crucial for his side to turn their last two results on their head by claiming two victories this week.

Arsenal have already beaten Fenerbahce 5-2 this season, so will be confident of the three points with the backing of their home crowd.

Manchester United, though, pose a much trickier test. They have four forwards on form with a constant hunger for goals, while Arsenal's defence has been suspect: they have conceded six goals in their last two games.

Wenger believes this week provides Arsenal with the opportune fixtures to bounce back and prove their worth.

"We have a Champions League game on Wednesday and then Manchester United on Saturday lunchtime," Wenger said to the club's official website.

"There are no better games in which to come back, give confidence and show our quality."
