Bendtner Still Gunning For The Title

Arsenal host Manchester United on Saturday with shaken confidence, poor form and a host of injury concerns.

Emmanuel Adebayor is out for three weeks, crocked in the defeat to Stoke, with Robin van Persie also out of the Unuted clash via suspension. Thus, much of the attacking pressure could rest on the shoulders of Bendtner.

The 20-year-old Dane isn't worried, though. He insists that the faltering Gunners can still roar back into title contention and expects to take a step towards that goal as the Red Devils come calling at the weekend.

"We're very strong and we have played well against big teams this season. It will be no different on Saturday," said Bendtner.

"We still believe we can win the title and it will be like that until the season finishes. We owe that to ourselves.

"We want to win it for everyone. We are very young but we can still prove people wrong. We shouldn't be written off yet.

"After what happened against Tottenham and Stoke people can get that impression that things aren't going right but we don't feel that way ourselves.

"We are strong and believe we have another chance on Saturday to show that we are united and can get back to winning ways."

On a personal note, he added, "It would be fantastic to score against Manchester United."
